Uprooted Invitational
Soon after Hurricane Katrina, the LSU Union Art Gallery held a show whose participants were directly affected by the storm.
For this aptly named exhibition, I illustrated the double meaning of the word Uprooted. There’s the obvious meaning of the broken tree. But for many people, not only were they broken, they were displaced – uprooted from their home.
